Health & Wellness

Karla Arrasmith: I've been very active and have exercised since I was 35. I want to do the things I enjoy doing and exercise, it really is one of those that keeps me healthy and fit. My name is Karla Arrasmith and I am 71 years old. When I first started having problems with my knee I did go to see an orthopedic surgeon. I've had it drained twice, I've had shots, I had orthoscopic surgery, none of these worked. I was right back to pain, swelling, couldn't exercise, to barely keeping up with my daily activities. You finally realize that you're going to have to do something else or you're going to be in pain for the rest of your life because it's not going to go away. We are RV'ers who spend the winter in the south and at this park I got acquainted with several other ladies and gentlemen who have had partial knee replacement, and they've done so well. I wanted to be a part of that. I wanted to get back to what I had before. I inquired about partial knee replacement with the robotic apparatus for surgery. My recovery has been wonderful. I couldn't believe the first time I walked and there was no pain so I'm very pleased with my progress I want to keep going. I'm sure I will be 100% in a couple months.
