Meals & Nutrition
Newberry Hospital provides dietary services to patients, staff, and visitors in patient rooms and in our café.
Guest Trays
If you are a guest visiting a family member or friend, you may order meals through the nursing staff.
Meals are priced as follows:
- Breakfast - $5.00
- Lunch - $5.00
- Dinner - $5.00

Café
Monday - Friday, guests may also go to the café located in the basement of the hospital for our hot breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. Lunch is served from 11:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. An UpforGrab cooler is available 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the café and includes items such as salads, wraps, fruit, and desserts.
A canteen area with vending machines is also available. The canteen is located in the basement directly across from the elevators and is open 24 hours a day.
Registered Dietician Services
Jeremy Ponds, a registered dietician (RD), offers dietary consultation at Newberry Hospital. He is an active part of our healthcare team, providing nutritional evaluations on patients and teaching on individual dietary needs.
Outpatient Dietician Services
Jeremy Ponds, RD, LD, also consults with patients on an outpatient basis. A physician referral is required.
