Junior Volunteer Summer Program

The Junior Volunteer Program is designed for students with an interest in healthcare. Program participation is an excellent way for students in our community to experience exciting healthcare options and service possibilities at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

We invite all interested students who want to learn, serve others and have fun to apply.

Who Can Participate

The program is open to students 14-20 years of age, who are enrolled in middle, high school or college. Please click here for the Junior Volunteer Application and for more information about the program.

Please complete the Junior Volunteer Application and return it to the hospital.  The form may also be picked up from local middle and high school guidance counselors.

What Happens Next

All completed applications are reviewed for completeness. Each applicant will receive a letter outlining the status of his/her application.

Students accepted into the Junior Volunteer Program are required to have a blood draw done to check for TB. This is provided by the hospital. Students must also complete an orientation. Orientation is held prior to the program starting and is mandatory. There are no make-up sessions.

Volunteering is fun and rewarding. To learn more, contact our Volunteer Director Angela Bowers at angela.bowers@newberryhospital.net or 803.405.7130.
